Aahsan Rahman
Aahsan Rahman is the head of town planning at NHS Property Services (NHSPS). The NHSPS town planning team are the current winners of ‘the Royal Town Planning Institute’s in-house town planning team of the year’.
His work at NHSPS focuses on improving the outcomes of interactions between the town planning system and the NHS, from policy lobbying stage through to funding capture, planning permission and project delivery stages.
A core focus of his work at NHSPS is striving to achieve better health outcomes for the public through improvements to the built environment. Current NHSPS workstreams are seeking to utilise the NHSPS portfolio, of circa 3,500 properties, to improve the quality of the built environment in development and disposal pipelines in order to help minimise negative health impacts on the population.
