Carlota Sáenz de Tejada

PhD in Architecture and Urban Planning (2019) with Extraordinary Doctorate Award (2021), she completed her PhD studies at Universidad San Pablo-CEU with a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education's University Teacher Training Programme (FPU). She has spent time at the Politecnico di Milano and the University of Edinburgh, and has participated for years in scientific outreach activities.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Urban Planning, Environment and Health Initiative of the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal). The focus of her research is on the links between Housing and Health. She is principal investigator of two research projects awarded by the Barcelona City Council (HABITAS 2021-22; HABITAS-GRAN 2023-24) and has participated in several national and international projects on residential environment, urban and peri-urban landscape, informal settlements and sustainable urban development, collaborating with institutions such as the Barcelona Provincial Council, the United Nations or the World Health Organization.
