David Kamp

David Kamp, FASLA, LF, NA is the founding principal of Dirtworks, PC Landscape Architecture. Through practice, teaching, writing and advocacy, David’s leadership and unique contributions promoting health through design and nature are at the forefront of the profession.

A Harvard Loeb Fellow in Advanced Environmental Studies, MacDowell Colony Fellow, and member of the National Academy of Design, David has been widely recognized through awards, publications, and documentaries. A frequent guest speaker and writer, David is an internationally recognized Thought Leader in the positive role of nature in the design of the built environment. David has taught and lectured at universities and schools across the United States, Europe, and Asia and in 2012 University College Falmouth (UK) awarded David an Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his contributions to the landscape architecture profession.

His book, “Nature, Design, and Health: Explorations of a Landscape Architect,” published by Library of American Landscape History, was released August, 2023.
