Kristine Mourits studied General Economics at Maastricht University. From 2008 until now, she is an important advisor health / healthy living environment for the municipality of Nijmegen. Since 2011 she is involved in the Academic Collaborative Centre AMPHI of the Radboud university medical center. She works at AMPHI to research issues that she and her colleagues experience in policy and practice. She is currently finishing her PhD on how health can be included in spatial planning developments at municipalities. As a result of her work at AMPHI and the municipality, Kristine is able to combine knowledge and experience to contribute to a better connection between science, policy and practice.
