Ruth Hynes

Ruth Hynes is an Associate Design Researcher with a background in architecture and over 10 years’ experience delivering collaborative research and innovation projects with multi-disciplinary R&I teams across multiple sectors and project scales. Ruth works with clients and design teams to develop and deliver applied research in the built environment, focussed on adding value to design projects, fostering innovation in design development, and the creation of novel services or solutions.
Ruth specialises in the assessment of health & wellbeing in the built environment, and graduated from UCL with MSc Health, Wellbeing & Sustainable Building. She has worked on the development of specialist frameworks and assessment tools including Atkins Human-Centred Design framework and the UCL Healthy Parks Framework. She also sits on a number of industry expert panels and steering groups including the New London Architecture Expert Panel on Built Environment Technology, and the Education Estates conference SEN programme panel.
